Obituary for John Grant Haylett

John Grant  Haylett
John Grant Haylett, 81, of Meadville, passed away, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 15, 1935 in Grove City, Pennsylvania a son of David Haylett and Geraldine Greenlee Haylett. He married Mary Lou Daye on March 27, 1955; she preceded him in passing on November 5, 2007.

He graduated from Grove City High School.

John was employed with National Fuel Gas from the time he graduated from high school and retired at the age of 55.

He was affiliated with New Beginnings Church of God and had many different hobbies he enjoyed.

John is survived by four sons, Denny Haylett of Meadville, Terry Haylett and his wife Linda of Meadville, Steven Haylett and his wife Susan of Meadville, and Kevin Haylett of Meadville; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister, Patty Clark and her husband Calvin of New York; and four brothers, Bud Haylett, Darwin Haylett, and Dick Haylett all of New Castle, and Butch Haylett of Utah.

In addition to his loving wife, Mary, he was preceded in passing by his parents; and a brother, Bob Haylett.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday, March 31st from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 1st, at 11:00am with Pastor Temple Jarrell of New Beginnings Church of God, officiating.

Private burial will take place in Greendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions maybe made in John’s memory to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
