Lucille E.  Albaugh (Engels)
Lucille E. Albaugh, 97, formerly of Route 98, Meadville, passed away, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community. She was born on September 23, 1919 in Meadville, PA, a daughter of Carl Engels and Ethel Sheriff Engels. Lucille married, Victor J. Albaugh on November 23, 1938, he preceded her in death on February 21, 2004.

She attended Meadville schools. Lucille was a 4-H leader for 31 years, a Crawford County Fair volunteer for many years and was in the do it yourself hobby club.

Lucille was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church where she was a 68 year member of the Catholic Daughter of Americas, a member of the Alter Rosary Society, a Eucharistic Minister and a longtime volunteer for funeral dinners.

She is survived by two sons, Walter Albaugh, Sr. of East Falmouth, MA and Richard Albaugh, Sr. and his wife, Audrey of Meadville; a daughter, Barbara Ann Schaub and her husband, Robert of Meadville; grandchildren, Walter David Albaugh, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of MA, Christine Gutowski of VA, Michael Albaugh of CT, Sophia Grace Cromwell of IN, Art Kitch and his wife ,Mary of OH, Jeanette Kitch of Meadville, Richard W. Albaugh, Jr. and his wife, Gail of N.Y. Donald T. Albaugh and his wife, Tracy of Cochranton, Shirley Anthony of Saegertown, Jay Kitch and his wife, Marlene of Greenville, Joseph W. Albaugh and his fiancé, Chrissy Davis of N.J., Mandy Fauble and her husband Bryce of Meadville, Major Melissa Albaugh of CO; Thirty-three great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a brother in law, Francis Albaugh of Erie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Victor; a daughter, Shirley Yohe; an infant son, Kenneth Albaugh; a daughter in law, Mary Patricia Albaugh; two great-grandchildren, Audreanna Albaugh and Tyler Weeks; two brothers, Robert and Charles Engels; two sisters, Catherine Boyd and Frances Main.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday, April 28th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, Catholic Daughter of the Americas will preform a service at 3:30pm and a prayer vigil service at 8:30pm with Deacon Ed Horneman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29th at 10:00am at Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville with Father Matthew Kujawinski as celebrant.

Private burial will follow at Saint Agatha Cemetery, Meadville.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Godfrey, Rolling Fields Eldercare Community Management, Staff and Elders for making Lucille’s stay so pleasant.
