SAEGERTOWN- Erva Amanda Hershelman, 72, of Saegertown, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Washington Health Systems, Washington, PA. She was born on October 22, 1943 in Meadville, a daughter of Earl Hutchinson and Esther Dillaman Hutchinson. She married Newell Hershelman in April 10, 1982, he survives.

She was a manager for Schwebels Baking Company in Saegertown for over 20 years, retiring in 2002.

Erva is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Newell; five children, Jeffrey Nichol of Saegertown, Scott Nichol and his wife, Stephanie of Export, PA, Dyanne Kiter of Guys Mills, Susan Gionti and her husband, Michael of Meadville, and Peggy Hasko and her husband, Evan of Conneautville; grandchildren, Meagan, Tyler and Reece Nichol, Melissa Urey, Olivia, Italia, and Anthony Gionti, Andrew and Elizabeth Hasko; great-grandchildren, Zander Nichol and Cameron Urey; two sisters, Eileen Eckart of Meadville, and Beverly Murdock and her husband, Sam of Meadville, and her beloved dog, Penny.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ronald Hutchinson, and her former husband, Donald Nichol.

Erva’s joy was her family and grandchildren, her flowers, gardening, being an avid Steelers fan, as well as playing bingo, and going to the casino.

Per her wishes, services for Erva are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will take place in Rundletown Cemetery, Conneautville, PA.
