MEADVILLE - Elfriede Hermine Vollmar Bieganski, 81, of Meadville, passed away, Monday, April 4, 2016, at the Marquette Hospice House. She was born in Germany on May 5, 1934, a daughter of the late Hermann and Elfriede (Joest) Vollmar. She married Henry Bieganski on May 27, 1957 in Germany.

After retirement from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service in 1979 as a Specialist for Accounting Policies and Procedures, she moved to Meadville and established "Professional Business Systems", an Accounting and Tax Services which she owned and operated until 2002.

She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, a past Parish Council member, a Eucharistic Minister and Funeral Server and past Treasurer for the Altar and Rosary Society. She volunteered for the Youth Employment Services and the Crawford County Coalition on Housing Needs, was a board member and treasurer for the Forest Hills Condo Association and board member and treasurer / secretary for the Cambridge Springs Cemetery Association.

In addition to her parents, Elfriede was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Henry and her son Dexter. All surviving relatives reside in Germany.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St, Meadville, PA 16335, on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. The Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335, has been entrusted with the care of the arrangements.

Burial will take place at Cambridge Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
