Lucile Jewell  Echnoz (Jewell)
MEADVILLE - Lucile Kathryn Echnoz, 85 of Meadville, passed away, Monday, November 30, 2015. She was born in Erie, PA to the late, Harold Leslie and Marcella Rabbitt Jewell. She married Wesley C. Shade in 1957, subsequently she married Lawrence Echnoz in 1986.

Lucile worked for American Viscose, Avtex and Active Aging in Meadville. She was a member at St. Brigid's Catholic Church and New Richmond Methodist Church. Lucile was a very accomplished home maker, she loved her family and spent a vast amount of time gardening, caning food and baking when her family was young. She taught her eldest daughter Leslie the love of Art. Her second Born, Pam the love of gardening and her son John became a master carpenter through her teaching him attention to fine details. Daughters, Gale and Sue spent many hours with mom creating baked goods from the kitchen.

Survivors include her four daughters, Leslie Blake and her husband Gary of Cambridge Springs, PA; Pamela Shade and her husband Doug Duhl of Ithaca, NY; Linda Gale Cook and her husband Jerry of Traverse City, MI; and Brenda Sue Davidson and her husband Mark of Circleville, OH; one son, John Shade and his wife Valerie of New Castle, PA; four grandchildren, Ashley Howles McWilliams; Jason Howles; Christopher Shade and Ciara Shade, four great grandchildren, Noah and Brylee Howles and Madelyn and Kamden McWilliams.

Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Echnoz.

A private viewing and service was held at the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.

Burial was at St. Brigid Cemetery.
