Obituary for Lois Reitz McAlevy (Reitz)

Lois Reitz  McAlevy (Reitz)
TITUSVILLE - Lois R. McAlevy, 84, of Titusville, passed away, Sunday, November 22, 2015 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 16, 1931, daughter of the late Amos Lee and Olive Hancock Reitz. She was married to the late Norman McAlevy.

Lois enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, quilting and bird watching. She also took great pride in making bandannas for the Peru mission trips and the troops overseas in addition to providing supplies for the troops.

Survivors include her two daughters, Dianne K. Wills of Prattville, AL; and Carolyn S. Shreffler, and her husband Terry of Titusville, PA; two sons, Edward G. McAlevy and his wife Margaret of Dempsytown, PA; and Richard D. McAlevy and his wife Lorna of Reinholds, PA; five grandchildren, Audra Needham, Renee Shreffler, Gary Shreffler, Sarah Wills and Ashley Kerschner; four great grandchildren; Devon Wills, Logan Kerschner, Ashlyn Tucker, Emily Needham and one on the way, due to be born in January; also her brother George Reitz and his wife Barb of Conneaut, Oh.

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman McAlevy; her sisters, Almah Palmer, Donna Armstrong; Son-In-Law Howie Wills, and great grandson, Hunter Wills.

Friends and family are welcome to call, Friday, November 27th at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 Main Street, Townville, PA 16360, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.. There will be an additional calling hour from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 28th at the funeral home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mark Rusnak, officiating.

Burial will take place at Troy Center Cemetery, Troy Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Townville VolunteervAmbulance Service, 33441 North Main Street, Townville, PA 16360, or to Asceracare Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Dr Suite 14, Erie, PA 16505.
