Cambridge Springs - Jean Carpenter Racop, 86, of Cambridge Springs, passed away, on October 20, 2015 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. She was born in Meadville on October 13, 1929, a daughter of Lloyd and Hazel Carpenter. She married Howard Racop on August 5, 1967, he preceded her in death on February 9, 2013.

She was a member at the Miller Station United Methodist Church.

Jean was employed for many years as a chef at Edinboro University, the worked and retired from Giant Eagle grocery store in Edinboro. She enjoyed volunteering at Cambridge Springs library, reading, and in her younger years she loved raising and riding horses with her husband, Howard.

She is survived by her son, Edward Bidwell and his wife, Rita of Mill Village; a step-son, Jeremy Racop and his wife, Frankie of Cambridge Springs; grandchildren, David, Rebecca, Timothy, Tracie, Mark, Tina, and Eileen; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cleola Mumford of Lyona, and Shirley Emery, Brookeville, Pennsylvania and a dear friend, Denise Markow of Cambridge Springs.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Howard; two daughters, Chrystal and Leslie Ann; a step-son, Max Racop; two brothers, Leslie Carpenter and Jack Carpenter; two sister in laws, Loretta Carpenter and Theresa Racop.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 N. Main Street, Townville, PA.

Burial will take place in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
